Opening in January 2021, Mane + Layne entered the beauty scene in Airdrie with the hopes of providing a unique concept as well as an incredible service to both our clients & hairstylists. As a female-owned and operated business, our goal is to create a space for other like-minded and entrepreneurial individuals to grow their own businesses. At the same time, we believe that collaboration and team support are invaluable tools in any hairstylist’s career journey.  In this industry, having friends and mentors to learn from provides opportunities not only to grow professionally but also personally. 

 

As a hairstylist at Mane & Layne, you have the opportunity to own your own business and you can do so easily with our ‘choose your own destiny’ approach. While you are responsible for your own bookings, service offerings, and prices, we will provide a depth of marketing, technology, and mentorship resources to suit your unique business needs.

Mane + Layne is currently seeking new stylists to join our team!

Whether you are looking for a daily, part-time or full-time rental, we want to hear from you! If you are interested in learning more or have specific questions, fill out our form below or contact us anytime at hello@maneandlayne.ca.  

 

Oh, did we mention that stylists that sign up for a part-time or full-time term (minimum 6 months or 1 year) will receive their first month FREE? We weren’t kidding when we said we were passionate about supporting your growing business!

 

Not sure if Chair Rental is the right fit for you? Mane + Layne wants to hear what will work for you. While we offer structured chair rental packages that suit most stylist incomes, we recognize that there is a variety of experience and service pricing that may make these costs seem steep. 
 

Full Time | $1650/Month (incl. GST)

We recommend this option for our experienced and established stylists. You will require a relatively consistent clientele to maintain the costs associated with Full Time work. 

 

  • You have full, uninhibited, access to the salon, retail product lines, and backbar.

  • You are required to bring your own colour and tools.

  • You have full control over your schedule, clients, and books

  • We require an agreement between Stylist & Salon for a 6-month or 1-year term. 

  • Option to take our Hand Tied Weft Extension Training to provide Extension Services to your client! (included at no charge to our stylists).

Part Time | $1000/month (incl. GST)

 

We recommend this option for stylists that are balancing other priorities in their lives whether it's family obligations or other job requirements. It is also a great option for those who are looking to start on their own for the first time or returning back into hair after some time off.

 

  • You have full access to the salon, retail product lines, and backbar but are limited to 12 working days a month for use.

  • You are required to bring your own colour and tools.

  • You have full control over your schedule, clients, and books.

  • We require an agreement between Stylist & Salon for a 6-month or 1-year term. 

  • Option to take our Hand Tied Weft Extension Training to provide Extension Services to your client! (included at no charge to our stylists).

Daily Rental | $84/day (+GST)

 

This is the most flexible of our rental options, requiring no agreement or terms.

  • Stylists can choose from any of the options available for Part/Full-Time stylists and there is no set minimum or maximum days in the salon, depending on your choices. 

  • Stylists are billed bi-weekly for their days in the salon and payment is required immediately.
